What is your permalink structure??
Regards
Well, when there is only two posts…. there isn’t much to archive…. Ummm it may be worth noting that WP doesn’t archive the way other system do. IE, it doesn’t create new files or pages with the older posts in them. It is all kept in the database and called up when needed.

And the months dont show till the next month starts. Nothing fancy.

Permalink structure is:
/archives/%post_id%/
I figured that this would put some type of file under the Archives folder, but nothing has appeared.
Your archives listing on the side won’t show post listings. It’ll show months unless you go in and change how you want listed. So there’s nothing wrong with how you have it set up currently. Also, while the archive page and the main page look the same, they’re actually different if you look at the link.

Okay, this is weird. Now, just now, I went to the site and clicked on the archive links and permalinks and everything is working. Still no files under the Archive folder, but the posts are now coming up.
According to Tg, archives are dynamic. Is there a way to make them static?
There is no “folder” for anything 🙂
Those “directories” seen in the URI are only virtual.
All your permalinks, archive links work. I don’t understand what your problem is.

My “problem” is that nothing I saw stated that the archive directories were virtual. Had I known that from the start, what was happening would have made better sense.
