User Role Issue on Mobile App for WooCommerce Admin Access

    I’m having an issue where user roles specified on my WooCommerce site don’t seem to apply when users log in through the mobile app using the WooCommerce admin link. This could unintentionally grant admin access to certain users, which I want to avoid. (Via Menu -> WooCommerce Admin)

    Is there a way to ensure the same dashboard and restrictions are applied when users access the site through the mobile app?

    Hi @sjlee85

    Are you using the official WooCommerce mobile app? If so, the WooCommerce mobile app is currently designed to work best with default user roles (such as Customer, Shop Manager, etc.). If you have created custom user roles or used a plugin to modify the default roles, the mobile app may not recognize these changes.

    Thank you for your prompt response! I do have the custom user roles but this user’s role is Shop Manager. As far as I am concerned, WooCommerce App only allows Administrator and Shop Manager to access. Does this mean the user will always have the WooCommerce Admin access from Menu under WooCommerce mobile app? Because I would want to limit the Shop Manager to see all of the admin menu.

    Yes, these restrictions won’t carry over to the mobile app. However, if you want to limit it, I suggest building a custom app based on the WooCommerce REST API.
