The reason for the error should be visible in the error log. You can find it in your hosting area. If necessary, the support of your hosting can help you.
Alternatively, you could also enable debugging in WordPress. How to do this is described here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ – also here the support of your hosting can help you if necessary to edit the file accordingly.
In both cases you should be able to see what the cause is in the logfile.
Okay… I haven’t got access yet – I believe – to the place where I can check the error log… The woman owning the domain and so on have just provided us working with this – at least trying to help her, not destroying everything :D, and probably have to send me more info to do that… Or does she?
I have user and password, I have some links to “emea01safelinks…..” and cpanel and so on (but wrong user or password for it), but I guess that is more about e-mails and so on… Or do I need more – or the correct user/password into cpanel and so on? Where do I, or she, go in, because I can’t access the page itself… She will be getting a e-mail if I didn’t misunderstand the message coming up…
The e-mail may or may not be helpful. In addition, the email must have been received by the admin email address, which is sometimes difficult. You can check the cause of the error as described above to be really sure. I would recommend that you obtain the correct access data for cpanel. This will give you access to everything.
Ok. Thanks! I’ll try to do that!
