I’m sorry you’re encountering a critical error when trying to enable the Optimized Control Loading feature. Critical errors can occur for a variety of reasons. The following can help you troubleshoot:
- Review the PHP error logs, as they may help pinpoint the issue
- View the console tab using the browser’s inspect tools to look for errors
- Deactivate all plugins apart from Elementor to determine if the issue is due to a plugin conflict. If this helps, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit
- If this doesn’t work, switch your theme temporarily to a default WP theme, such as Twenty Nineteen, and see if that helps
- Make sure your version of Elementor is updated to the latest version.
