Remove Duplicate Search Box

    I’m using the “White as Milk” theme (based on Kubrick) on two websites, and I’m experiencing the same thing on both. I have a search widget in the sidebar, and when no matches are found, a second search box appears in the content area, right below,”No Posts Found. Try a Different Search?” Is that common to WordPress, or something specific to the Kubrick or White as Milk theme? It just looks odd to have two search boxes, basically side-by-side, when a match isn’t found. Can I somehow “code out” the generation of the 2nd search box that appears in the content area?

    Yes it is common. If you want to get rid of the search bar in the content area you will have to edit it out from search.php which is what I assume the site is using to output the search “error”.

    If you want to get rid of the search box in the sidebar I assume you know how to do that.

    You could also make your own sidebar for the search.php template with no search bar.
