    Hi

    I installed livechat software for wordpress on my site http://websitesdirectuk.com and really impressed. As well as giving my visitors the chance to talk to me online if I’m around it gives fantastic information about visitors such as where they are from, what pages they visited, how many people are online. It also records all the chats for later review. I have a trial for 14 days and it would seem if I want to keep on using its going to cost me at least 36USD per month.

    I have been looking at livezilla chat which would seem to have similar functionality and the clincher for me is its free.

    I am considering trying to install but there is no plugin so the install might be a little complicated. Has anyone got any experience of installing this on a website that can give me some reassurance that it will work and not mega complicated to install.

    Took the plunge and decided to try and install livezilla. Apart from a minor blip where I installed some of the software in the wrong place on my hostgator account and then deleted one of my own files by mistake. (I think hostgator technical support is second to none and between us fixed the errors i created)

    After sorting that out I installed the software on 2 sites http://techforgolf.com and http://websitesdirectuk.com and so far I have been impressed.

    If anyone looks at these sites and wants to say “hello” click on the chat link, if its showing online, I would be grateful to further test the features.
