Hello! I’v got same trouble on my site https://lokismed.ru/
On new version of Elementor 3.20.1, plugin Elementor Header & Footer Builder make my site slow and destroy it. On PageSpeed Insights rate down to 22 from 65-70 (https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-lokismed-ru/1tsovfublk?hl=ru&form_factor=mobile).

I have had to downgrade to Elementor version 3.19. Please fix it.

I reproduced the problem on another site. This is clearly visible on a mobile phone. To see it exactly, you need to refresh the page twice. When the page loads, all submenus open. I am ready to provide the necessary data.

Removed child elements and custom icon from the menu. It’s gotten a little better, but the problem persists. At the very beginning, a crooked menu appears. I’m not rolling back to version 3.19 yet, I hope for a fix to be released soon.
I found “fade in” and played with it. Looks less terrible, but still shows the huge background for a moment. The reason is precisely in the Nav Menu block. I’m tired of waiting for a solution to the problem. I spat on the drop-down menu and made the usual links on the header section.
I will also note that I tried to find another free plugin instead. I haven’t found anything better than this plugin for Elementor.
After removing the Nav Menu block from my Header section, performance in PageSpeedInsight doubled from 34 to 72. The problem “Avoid large layout shifts, 3 layout shifts found”, which is visible in my first post, has also been fixed.
