First wordpress site

    Hi guys,

    I just made my first website with WordPress and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I was hoping for some criticism and a bit of help as well.

    My slideshow graphic has too much empty space under it (http://imgur.com/QbMAM.png). Does anyone know where I should go to fix this? I can do basic things in the css, but I don’t know where to look.

    Anyway, suggestions? What do you think of it? Don’t feel bad about being too hard on me. Thanks!

    Errmmm

    I’m far from being a Pro.. Just started this stuff myself. But what is your site for?

    Not sure there is a need to have the graphic on the home page so big, takes yur eyes away from the content below…

    eastpeekswest.com is a website for Chinese students or people in China that are interested in learning about American life and the college culture.

    I thought the big pictures would make people want to look at it more and make it more attractive.
