Categories stopped working

    I have tried everything I can think of… I have deleted all categories! Posts will not let me make sub categories at all! When all my categories where up I had main and sub categories. now when I update the page the new categories disappear!

    Even when I post a new article… I create a new category and the main will post and stay! but when I create a sub category to the main, I click add new and then it appears without being checked! I publish the page and get nothing!

    I scrubbed the whole site and reloaded wordpress to my server… And imported the document to find the same problem!

    Can a banner or html link effect my categories?
    I don’t know what I did… Can a post effect the wordpress platform or do I have a deeper problem?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
