• Hi,

I’m trying to convert my current MT blog into a WordPress blog. I got WP installed on my remote server without a hitch. I also installed it on my development server, so that I could get the templates written.

The problem is, I can’t figure out how to do this — I had no problem installing MT to my local server, mapping TopStyle/Dreamweaver to localhost, and editing the CSS and templates in real time. For the life of me, I cannot get this to work in WordPress.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated; I feel as if I have a blindfold on and am not able to “see” the templates while I style them.

  • Don’t quote me on this but I vaguely remember problems related to Dreamweaver and WordPress. As I say, no qoute, please, with age the mind and memory goes soft.

Try this method it has been bulletproof under heavy use on my home server.

Thanks Marc, this is exactly the information I was looking for.

I’m probably going to use just a plain text editor, but I’ll at least give it a spin in Dreamweaver, and post back if I have any revelations.

I’ve been us ing PSPad lateley and have found it quite good. It can also be integrated with TopStyle for CSS editing.

    Tg
