• Not too sure on the version btw (way to check?) I logged into the wordpress site and edited the site URL and others, and it completely messed with my site. I had to go back into phpMyAdmin, and only got the home page and the post recovered. How do I get the About pages and every other link to work again? http://184.106.212.42/wordpress/

  • way to check?

Bottom right-hand footer in any Admin page.

    Review Changing_The_Site_URL.

Yes, I’ve looked through that. It does bring my home page back up, but not any of my other links. About Page, Uncategorized, RSS Feed, nothing else works.

Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting and deleting/renaming your WordPress .htaccess file. If this works, then set a custom permalink structure back up again.

I can no longer log in, and the creator of the wordpress site has his pass integrated into the account, so I cannot retrieve it. That is making it harder to even log into the site.

I can use phpMyAdmin to an extent. I saw that the default setting is http://example.com/?p=N. Is this correct? Also, where would I access the .htaccess file?

I also think by editing the domain URL, it screwed with the wordpress. But anyways, I can no longer log in, I only have access to the phpMyAdmin site.

    Why can’t you login?

The password was changed somehow (might have been another admin) But I just got the new one in and it works. I went in and fixed it, and everything seems to be working now. Haha, thank you for your time, I understand how frustrating it can be working with people who do not know what they are really wanting to do. I run an assistance service for rooting Droids, and people come in asking all sorts of silly questions.

But all-in-all, the site is fixed. Thank you for your attempt at helping me, it was greatly appreciated!

    Glad to have helped. 🙂
