Hi, @forautism.
Glad you wrote in. I can help here.
From our experience, the “This organization’s page is broken” error has a few possible causes.
- The PayPal account is not active to receive payments. If you have followed these instructions to connect the PayPal Donations payment gateway to PayPal, then usually a message to this effect will be displayed at Donations > Settings > Payment Gateways > PayPal > PayPal Donations (tab). If you would, please navigate to that page and take a screenshot and send it over.
- The PayPal account is set up to receive payments, but not “donations.” If this is the case, then you can change the PayPal Transaction Type to Standard Transaction in Donations -> Settings -> Payment Gateways -> Paypal -> Paypal Donations as shown in this screenshot:

Note: be sure to scroll down and click “Save Changes” after making that change.
- Something went awry during the process of connecting the PayPal Donations payment gateway to your PayPal account. In this case, disconnecting and reconnecting usually resolve the issue. Be sure to connect using the primary PayPal account login email address and password. Connecting with a “user” on the PayPal account that isn’t the account owner will not work.
Sometimes there’s actually an account issue that requires contacting PayPal in order to resolve it. However, let’s make sure we eliminate any of the other possible causes by attempting the items above first.
