The contact form on our site does not appear to be sending messages to the correct email address. When I try to change the settings, an error message shows up and it tells me to contact the plugin support team if the problem persists. Hence me messaging here. It says we received 189 messages in the last 7 days. We cannot see anything. It seems the basic function of the form is not working. Please help!

    Hello @chiaralh,

I am so sorry to hear about the trouble.

Are you seeing this error while trying to save the form after changing in the settings- “Heads up! Something went wrong while saving the form. Please reload the page and try again. Please contact plugin support if this behavior persists.”?

If yes, this almost always stems from two possible reasons-

    1) A file permissions issue. If you contact your host and ask them to reset file permissions, this should start working properly.

    2) Another reason is the security policies that are enforced on the server. It is likely that your server has some Mod_security (firewall) rules that are blocking the save action of the admin-ajax request.

Hence me messaging here. It says we received 189 messages in the last 7 days. We cannot see anything.

It looks like you are referring to weekly email summaries which are weekly reports showing how many entries each of your forms have received.

Regarding the lite entries, please know that WPForms Lite does not store form submissions in WordPress, though you can certainly set up form notification emails to send form submission details to your preferred email address(es). This way, you can see the entries via your email.

Please also note that we have the Lite Connect option available which allows you to backup all the entries after enabling this option while using the Lite version and restore then if you ever decide to upgrade to the paid version.

We do try to clarify this with the entry page notice in Lite. However, please let me know if you have any suggestions on how we can improve this.

    Hope this helps. Thanks 🙂

    Hi @chiaralh,

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
