Cart and Checkout missing translation
-
I am setting up a Traditional Chinese website for the first time. I am noticing that the Cart and Checkout page is missing some basic translation. i.e. Subtotal and Free Shipping. I thought this would be the basic elements to be translated already. But it is not the case.

What do I need to do to see these few fields translated properly?

Hi @ezekielion,
You can use a plugin like Loco Translate to add missing translations to your site. More info can be found here: https://woo.com/document/woocommerce-localization/#creating-custom-translations
Also, if you want, you can contribute to our translation project too: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce
I hope this clarifies your concern. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
It is just two words for translation. I am surprised that they are not in because they are very basic fields in cart and checkout.
I am not sure how to get involved but can you just add them?
Subtotal = 小計
Free Shipping = 免運費
Hi there @ezekielion,
You can help translate WordPress to your language by logging in to the translation platform with your WordPress.org account and suggesting translations.
More details can be found here: https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/translating/how-to-translate/
Cheers!
The Link you have provided is for WordPress translation. The Traditional Chinese has been translated 100%.
The two words I am talking about are WooCommerce specific. They are not translated.
Hi there @ezekielion 👋

Subtotal = 小計
Free Shipping = 免運費I went ahead, and searched, for
Subtotal, in the Chinese (China) locale, and it appears it is already translated (green color). On the other hand, linked here are the results surfaced, when searching for the termShipping.Feel free to read through our Translator Handbook to get started in contributing translations.
Should you be referring to a different locale, they can all be found in the page linked here.
Moreover, to pinpoint where this text is coming from, in order to translate it accordingly, I’d recommend utilizing the String Locator plugin.
As a sidenote, the 3-step process outlined here can be very effective in translating a few words.
I hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
We will be happy to help you further.-

The one you sent is for Simplified Chinese. I checked the Traditional Chinese (Taiwan).
It looks like it is translated. So then, why is it not showing up on the Cart and Checkout? (See screenshot above)
I am using the latest 6.4.2 version WP.
Hey, @ezekielion!
Thanks for the clarification.
It is possible a plugin or your theme is overriding the translation.
Can you please share with us the System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support so we can take a look and investigate this further?
Looking forward to your reply.
Have a wonderful day!
Is there a support email to send the report to?
You can paste it here, or into our https://quickforget.com/ service, and send that secret link here @ezekielion.
Feel free to redact the site’s URL, before sharing it.
We await your response to better assist you.
