[Plugin: Frontpage-Slideshow] Display an image based on Category not Post

Hi All,

I am trying to find a way to use Frontpage Slideshow to display an image based on the post category rather than extracting an image from the post itself. I am using this for a kids football team with various agegroups and not all reports from games have images so I would like to assign a category an image then use this image.

Has anyone done this or could someone point me in the right area please?
