Are you certain supercache is working? Did you do the test page test? Did you preload the cache and look for your webpages to show up in the supercache? Are you using PHP, mod rewrite, or legacy for the caching?
Happeh
I selected the recommended choices in the advanced section. The plugin was activated and enabled. I didn’t do what you mention here, but I find my site loads a lot faster without it. I’ll try what you’ve asked here.
Cache hits to this website for quick access
Use mod_rewrite to serve cache files
Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors
Don’t cache pages for known users
Mobile device support.
Preload mode (garbage collection only on legacy cache files
These are the options I have set. It seems after my page loads using super cache it still says in the lower left of the firefox browser “transferring data from bloggingperspectives daily”
With these options I don’t really see much difference than not using the plugin. Is this normal? Or should I see a big difference with the plugin? Thanks
You should see a big difference but it could also be Javascript widgets on your site that’s slowing things down.
The readme/documentation explains how to know if the plugin is working properly.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but the WP super cache plugin doesn’t work for me. I looed at the page source and the time stamps are different when I load pages, is that how it should be?
Let me say I’m using Woopra and Google Analytics which both have java scripts? I’m using disqus….recent comments java script?
I’m using publitweet java script….
Also when using the plugin after my page loads in the lower left corner of my browser it say’s ‘transferring data from bloggingperspectivesdaily. Why would it still be transferring data if the page is loaded?
I want to unistall wp super cache do I have to make any changes to the .htaccess file?
Can someone tell me what should load time look like with WP super cache? Mine are like 2.5 to 3.5 seconds.
I looked at pro blogger and load time there are 0.6 seconds
I’m using Genesis framework which is optimized for speed and I use Blue Host …I don’t know seems like my blog is slow to load
Try the debug system in the plugin. That will tell you a lot about what the plugin is or isn’t doing.
There are instructions in the documentation on how to uninstall the plugin too.
