Optinmonster, on every page I add my campaign, constantly says:

    >>This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.

When I load the page, the campaign only loads about half of the time.

For reference, I’ve had to resort to only using Shortcode, which still doesn’t work, because the OptinMonster block throws that error each time.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Hello @world90travelers πŸ‘‹

Would you check that you have the latest version of the OptinMonster plugin installed (v2.15.1)? If you’re running an older version please update.

The campaign embedded at the URL provided is currently allowed to show only on the homepage of the site in the Display Rules of the app — https://a.supportally.com/i/Y6oqYP

If you’d like to show the campaign on additional pages of your site will you please update the Display Rules and check that fully resolves the issue?

Let me know how that goes, thanks!

    Hi Erica,

I’ve updated it with a different campaign, but it doesn’t seem to matter. the one I put there, I’ve changed the settings both on WordPress and Optin to be viewable on any page and I still get the error.

Is it possible another plugin is causing this issue?

    Hi @world90travelers πŸ‘‹

I’m currently seeing only the “Home Page” campaign embedded on that URL, which has the Display Rule condition in the app restricting it to only the homepage of your site.

Would you update the page to the campaign you intend to show and let me know when that is completed?

    Thanks!

Okay maybe you can help me with a slightly different issue.

I’ve tried 4 different browsers on three different devices. I’ve cleared history, cache, you name it.

For the last several days, each time I go to save a post or page, I click update or save, I get a message saying the the page/post has been saved or updated, but when I go to leave the page, I’m told there are unsaved changes.

I haven’t added any new plugins, nothing new.

    (@world90travelers)

That said, I also can’t see the Optin campaign on our homepage either.

Or when I try to add the actual campaign, I just get the spinning monster head for hours on end and it never loads.

I can edit a page, and it will save, but if I add/change an OptinMonster campaign, those will not save.

    Hi @world90travelers πŸ‘‹

I am seeing the campaign appear on the homepage when I visit, like this – https://a.supportally.com/i/XA5pYz

Would you try testing using a brand new Incognito window?

For the continued issue you’re seeing in the page/post editor, would you check for a possible theme/plugin conflict following this guide – https://optinmonster.com/docs/how-to-check-for-wordpress-plugin-conflicts/

Also, is that happening on the homepage when you edit it? Or only on pages where the campaign does not have permission to appear yet?

    Thanks!

    Hi @world90travelers πŸ‘‹

Just checking in if the issue has been resolved or if we can still assist?

    Thanks!

Hi, I sorted out the saving issue, but am still having trouble with OptinMonster loading on some of the pages.

I seemingly have to use the short code, otherwise the campaign never loads.

Do you mind checking the site I posted again to see if the shortcode has loaded there? For the moment, I don’t seem to be getting an error

    Hello @world90travelers πŸ‘‹

I’m seeing the campaign appear in the page like this – https://a.supportally.com/i/Q3Fbiu

When you’re embedding an Inline please be sure to follow one of the WordPress-specific options in our guide here — https://optinmonster.com/docs/how-to-manually-add-an-after-post-or-inline-optin/

Due to how the OptinMonster WordPress plugin adds the campaign embed code following the WordPress-specific options for embedding Inlines is necessary for success.

Let me know if that helps! πŸ˜€

    Hi there,

I hope you have everything you need on this issue. Please feel free to ask if you have more questions.

    Hi all,

Sorry for the late reply, was traveling, but I am still having issues, at least as far as i can tell.

Even on our homepage, I’m using a generic newsletter sign-up, set to show up on any page but two things happen:

    1. I cannot use the Optin Monster block. It still continuously throws an error
    2. I resort to using shortcode but still when I visit the page, I often cannot see the newsletter sign-up.

    Hi @world90travelers

    Thanks for writing back.

I checked it out and could not reproduce the issue as it loads for me everytime I load the page.

Can you try loading your homepage by adding /?nocache=true at the end and see if you still see the issue? It will exclude the page from any kind of caching you are using on your website.

If that works fine, we’d need to check if your caching plugin or CDN is causing an issue here.

Also, for the block error, did you check for the plugin/theme conflict as Erica suggested above: https://optinmonster.com/docs/how-to-check-for-wordpress-plugin-conflicts/
