Checkboxes on Default Showing Selection Required Message

    Hi, love Forminator. I’m using page breaks and using a checkbox area on part 2, the checkboxes are required, but for some reason on the checkboxes on default it’s showing the “This field is required. Please select a value.” immediately when user goes to section. Not even giving them a chance to make a selection first. Also it’s showing the red checkbox bg instead of the desired grey I enabled in settings. Is there something I’m missing?

    Hi @kkarl,

    What you have mentioned shouldn’t be the default behaviour, sounds more like a site-specific issue. In order to have a better idea regarding the issue noticed on your side, possible to share the page URL where you face the issue and also share the from export so that we can check the form settings?

    If you are concerned about any sensitive information in the form, then you can duplicate your form, remove any sensitive information, and then export it.

    You can share the export file via Google Drive, Dropbox or any cloud services in the next reply.

    Hi. Here is the url https://rb.gy/5s2iu1 if you could please review. The checkboxes in question are on the second page break after you answer the initial option, the “Which areas are you currently interested in? (Check all that apply)*” list of checkboxes.

    You’ll see the checkboxes are in showing with red backgrounds and the error “This field is required. Please select a value.” is showing by default before user even tries submitting to the next page break.

    Wonder if it’s a page break issue. Strange since the first page break at beginning of form is using checkboxes and working fine.

    Hi @kkarl,

    Thanks for sharing the URL, I could replicate the issue based on the setup with page breaks.

    I’m afraid, this is a bug and our Forminator team has confirmed this will be fixed in the upcoming release v 1.29.

    At the moment, there isn’t any exact ETA but can confirm it’s already worked upon and hopefully will have an update asap.
