FAQ block generated its schema twice

    Hello,

    I am trying to optimize the schema output for the articles of my blog. I noticed that the FAQ block by Yoast creates its schema twice, as you can see in the https://validator.schema.org/ . Is there a way to avoid this duplication?

    Hello Andrea,

    Thanks for reaching out about the FAQ structured data. I tested the URL you provided in the schema validator and the rich results test tool but couldn’t reproduce what you described. See here and here. The FAQ schema is generated only once.

    Please provide us with screenshots that highlight the issue you are experiencing. You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.

    Hi Maybellyne,

    basically if you go inside the article schema when you test the URL with the schema validator or the rich test tool you will see the FAQ list twice, as well as the Breadcrumb.

    An example of the duplicates:
    – first
    – second

    I’m not sure I understanf what you have described as your screenshots show the @id (the node) and the URL. Can you let me know what your expectation is?

    Well, I am not focusing on a single entry but on the fact that there are block of items repeated twice in the article schema. In particular you will see listed twice all the faq and the breadcrumbs.

    If you check from the screenshots you will see that the vertical scroll bar is at a different position, that indicates the fact that these blocks are repeated.

    Just wanted to know if there is a way to avoid these duplications.

    If there is an issue with the validation of the structured data or the logic, both Schema validator and rich results test tool would have thrown errors on what to fix.
