Stop Product name update on Square

    I currently have the products syncing from Woocommerce to Square, but square does not seem to handle the name of variations if there are 2x attributes for the variation, it simply just calls the variation in square the product name, which becomes a challenge when using the terminal.

    The work around for this is to rename the variation in Square, however whenever the product is updates or synced again from woocommerce, the variation reverts back to the defaul name.

    Question 1
    Is there a way to prevent woocommerce/square from updating product name on Square if it already exists on Square?

    Question 2
    Some of the vairation titles become too long in Square preventing the variation attributes to be seen, is there a way to only show the attribute in title and not the whole product name?

    Question 3
    Is it possible to feed the weight/dimensions of product to Square? I see a field for weight, but this doesn’t get updated when synced, I don’t see a field for dimensions like height/width/length though.

    Unlike WooCommerce, Square does not support multiple attributes. Kindly take a look at the document linked here, for further details, and answer to your first question.

    As product names are the title, I would suggest to simply use shorter titles.

    As currently products are set to sync from WooCommerce to Square, could you elaborate further on this, please? What is the use case, to be more specific.

    WooCommerce Square can be used for managing inventories and also as a payment gateway. You can configure the plugin to use either one of them or both!
