• Hi, I am trying to update meta tags and description (Yoast) on the home page. I get the following message when updating:

“Updating failed. Could not update the meta value of site-sidebar-layout in database”

    Extra info:

    • Website is using latest version of Yoast. I downgraded to the previous version one and the problem is still there. I also removed the plugin and installed it again (problem again). It seems that Yoast is not the issue.
    • Website is created with Elementor, Astra theme.
    • Already removed many plugins in order to test.
    • I can update meta tags and description in other pages. The problem is only in the HOME page.

  • Hi, I am facing the exact same issue. I am also using an Astra theme, I build my pages with Elementor, and I get the same error from Yoast whenever I try to update the tag and description. I get the error message on every single page of my website (not only the home page). I tried to disable plugins and I made sure I am using the latest version of wordpress, Astra theme and plugins… but nothing works. If you or anyone else find a solution to this issue, I would be very grateful. Thanks.

This seems to have started only with the latest updates. I don’t use Yoast and I get this message when trying to update the home page. This has to be either an Astra or WP issue.

In my case it seems to be a corruption on the page. I built a copy element by element and saved without the error. I am a b it concerned in case it returns though.
