I’ve noticed that the subtitles a video being played with FV on a Google Chrome tab won’t be streamed with the standard “Cast” feature, with the video without subtitles showing on the Chromecast and the subtitles being played at the tab on the computer with the “Optmize” function. Is that something that can be done about it regarding the player or is that a Google Chrome bug?

    Hello luiskalil,

Last time I checked our video at https://foliovision.com/ it played fine on Chromecast including the subtitles.

Please let me know what “Optimize” function do you mean.

    Thanks,
    Martin

The “Optimize” function that comes when you hit fullscreen on the video player. I’ve tried as well the native option from the player itself (I had to turn it on at the configuration panel) and it also didn’t stream the subtitles. When I stream the whole Google Chrome tab it works as a mirror function (as expected).

The situation described happens with the WordPress Plugin of the FV

    Hello luiskalil,

Sorry about the delay, I was able to test Chromecast now. I used the video on our homepage: https://foliovision.com/

    It casted with the subtitles.

FV Player does not show an Optimize function when you enter fullscreen with your video. Please let me know what exact browser you are using. A screenshot would be great too.

    Thanks,
    Martin
