Hi @mexicangoodfood
my stripe checkout isn’t working properly anymore. The spaces where to fill in the credit card informations are very small and its not possible to fill in any information.
From what I understand, you’re experiencing a problem with the Stripe checkout on your WooCommerce store. Specifically, you’re finding that the fields for customers to enter their credit card details are too small, making it impossible to input any information.
Let’s explore a few possible causes and solutions for this issue:
- Update your plugins and themes: Make sure your WooCommerce, Stripe, and WordPress are all up-to-date. Old versions can sometimes lead to compatibility issues.
- Review your Stripe settings: Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe and confirm all your settings are correct. Ensure that Stripe is enabled and your API keys are correct. Need a hand? Here’s a quick guide on 👉 Stripe.
- Test for conflicts: It’s possible that other plugins or your theme may be conflicting with WooCommerce or Stripe. To check, temporarily deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default WordPress theme (like Storefront). If this fixes the issue, reactivate everything one by one to identify the conflict source. Here’s a guide on how to test for conflicts. - Look for JavaScript errors: JavaScript errors can disrupt functionality. Use your browser’s console to check for these errors.👉 Here’s a useful guide on Using Your Browser to Diagnose JavaScript Errors.
- Enable Debugging: If the problem persists, turn on debugging in WordPress. This can help identify the root cause. You can enable debugging by adding these lines to your wp-config.php file:
define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
@ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );
This will create a debug.log file in your wp-content directory, logging any PHP errors or notices. For a more detailed guide on enabling debugging in WordPress, you can visit this link: 👉 Debugging in WordPress
If the issue continues after trying these steps, please share more details, like the exact error messages you see when debug mode is on. This will help us identify and solve the problem more effectively.
Also, we’d find it helpful if you could share your site’s System Status report. This will give us a better understanding of your site’s setup and help us pinpoint the problem. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.
Lastly, could you share the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
Once you’ve gathered this information, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com to paste it and share the link with us.
Thanks for your patience and cooperation in this matter! We’re here to help you get this sorted.
