    Hey,

when a user books two appointments with the same information it actually creates two customers entries. So for each appoitnment, there is a new customer created even if it’s the same person with the same personal information:

Every time an appointment is bookend with those date (same person)

    a new user is created:

How is that supposed to work? This behaviour would fill the customer database with tons of duplicated entries everytime a same person books an appointment.

    thanks

    Hello,

It’s because you have not enabled the “Create WordPress user upon appointment booking” switch in the BookingPress > Settings > General settings. All the users will be not registered as as WordPress users and they are just guests.

However, if you enable the switch, the customer will be created on your website the first time they create an appointment. This means that if a customer creates an appointment with the same email ID in the future, a new customer will not be created.

I hope this gives you clear idea.

    Thanks

Yes I specifically disabled that option because I don’t want to end up with hundreds of wordpress users who are not meant to log in to my word press. All I want is to create “customers” in my customer DB that should be uniquely identifiable by email

    Hello,

It’s important to note that if a customer doesn’t register on your website, it’s not possible to manage them using unique identifiers such as email. This is because guest customers are not uniquely identifiable and are essentially anonymous. As a result, their information cannot be tracked or managed in the same way as registered customers.

    Thanks
