StatTraq is an option, but requires some hacks to get it working in WP v1.5. BAStats is also an option, but it’s in beta. Another option would be ShortStat, it’s PHP-based and can track any page you stick it’s code on, but it’s a bit more difficult to setup than the other two.

Two other options would be the two leading free web-based trackers. Those would be StatCounter: http://www.statcounter.com/ and SiteMeter: http://www.sitemeter.com/
As for me, I used SiteMeter, made the switch to StatCounter because they offered an invisible tracker, and I am currently switching from that to ShortStat.

I will try this shortstat as well, it seems to be clear and better. I hope i can make it work 😉
thanks for the tipps
I signed up for StatCounter, and they gave me their code segment that I’m supposed to paste into my site.
So I went to my Site Admin –> Presentation –> Theme Editor
And now it shows me a list of files: Stylesheet, Category Template, Contents Template…etc, etc.
Which file am I supposed to paste my StatCounter code into? Is it the Stylesheet, the Main Template, the Page Template, or something else?
Also can you tell me where within that file I should paste my StatCounter code into?
I would post it in the Footer file, right at the end of whatever displayed text is in there.
Wonderfull macmanx. Let it be declared that my first borne will bear the name “macmanx” in your honor.
Wow, thanks! You may want to give him a normal nickname, though. “MacManX” might be an odd name to go through grade school with.
