This is something i am struggling with. I have installed the plugin and linked it across to facebook. All seems fine as i can add a product in Woo and it syncs across perfectly.

The shop says it is visible for our page, but i can’t see any link to it. No tab or menu item and no block (as some articles suggest that the new page view uses blocks now).

Am i missing something? Do i need to tick another box somewhere to actually get to see the shop on the Facebook page?

Anyone else had this problems and if so, how did you fix it?

    Many thanks
    Andy

  • Hi @andyjlund

Could you send us a screenshot of how it looks on your end? You may use https://snipboard.io when sharing screenshots.

On the other hand, Facebook is very strict with its rules regarding image sizes and recommends them as outlined in its documentation. Could you please check if this is the case?

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I have sent some images. I wasn’t sure what you wanted to see, so i added loads of them. I even got an email from Meta to say that everything complies and is live. However when i click “visit shop” it just takes me to the commerce manager.

    Hi @andyjlund

    Thanks for sharing additional information.

I’ve visited your Facebook page and accessed the shop tab. I can see that all the products are displaying perfectly.

However, if you’re still having trouble spotting the shop tab, Facebook’s caching system might be the culprit. Alternatively, you might need to switch to your profile from the page.

I hope this provides some clarity on the matter. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Hi. and thanks for the help. Hopefully we are getting somewhere close to finding the problem as it still doesn’t work my end regardless of who i log in as. Even when i use the direct link you popped above, i get this screen

So, I am narrowing this down to the shop is there but not displayed to me or the accounts i log in as. This then only leaves me to think it is location based. I am guessing the help i have been given so far is based in the USA? I am UK and i understand there are differences with shops displaying in the USA and the rest of the world, namely the checkout process.

When you click on a product to get more information or to purchase, does it take to you our shop website or does it try to keep you on Facebook? this is something i spotted in one of the images in the previous message where the checkout method says “checkout with messages”, where i would expect it to say “checkout on website”. There doesn’t seem to be any way to change this.

Your help is really appreciated. Thank you

It does seem like a location-based issue might be at play. However, could you please test it using a different account? Or maybe without logging into your account to see whether it loads?

When you click on a product to get more information or to purchase, does it take to you our shop website or does it try to keep you on Facebook? this is something i spotted in one of the images in the previous message where the checkout method says “checkout with messages”, where i would expect it to say “checkout on website”. I can’t find a checkout on the website button on the product details page. This might be because Meta has stopped supporting the “Checkout on another website” feature for US merchants. Now, they only allow this region’s “Checkout on Facebook & Instagram” feature.

If the image is not showing up, here is a direct link: https://gifyu.com/image/S4OEC

However, while you created your Meta Commerce Account, did you select Checkout with Facebook or Instagram or checkout on the website? Please note that Checkout with Facebook and/or Instagram isn’t supported yet. So, if you select Checkout with Facebook or Instagram option, then it could be an issue, as explained here: https://woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#facebook-checkout

I hope this provides some clarity on the matter. Please let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance.

Thanks for the info. I have tried viewing the page from another account that has no admin rights to the page and still get the same problem.

I don’t remember having the choice of checkout method when setting up and i can’t see any way to change it. On the screen that lists the check out method, it says “checkout with messaging”, there are no other options.

My thought is maybe to completely delete the catalog / shop / commerce account and start again. I can’t think of what else to do as it should be working.

    Hi @andyjlund,

We investigated a similar issue and found that Facebook recently made changes that prevent the shop page from showing to users in certain countries. I recommend contacting Facebook support for further assistance. (For issues on Facebook’s end, it’s best to contact them).
