Subcategories not syncing correctly

I have sync setting set to square, product categories are not syncing as subcategories, they are only being synced as top level categories. Also the products are no longer in them.
For example I have a product in Clothing > Bottoms
But in Woo the product is only in Clothing, and not in bottoms.
I see it is possible to create sub-categories and assign products into multiple categories in Square so why is this not syncing correctly

Thank you for reaching out!This is expected as Square allows only one category per product. If your product in WooCommerce has several categories or sub-categories, only the first one in alphabetical order will be synced to Square.
