Clarification Needed on Redirection Plugin Alerts
-
Hi Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. We recently installed the Redirection plugin for our WordPress website, and while attempting to set it up, we encountered some alerts that raised a few questions. We kindly request your assistance in clarifying the following issues for us:
- Alert: Checkbox for Default WordPress “Old Slugs” (7109)
We noticed an alert related to the Default WordPress “Old Slugs” (7109). Could you please explain what this alert means and how it affects our website’s functionality?
- Alert: Checkbox for Quick Page/Post Redirects (739)
Despite having already removed the Quick Page/Post Redirects plugin from our WordPress installation, we continue to see an alert for it in the Redirection plugin. Can you explain why this alert persists even after removal? Does it pose any risks or conflicts with the Redirection plugin?

- Potential Conflict and Infinite Redirect Loop
We are concerned about the possibility of conflicts or an infinite redirect loop occurring when using both the Redirection and Quick Page/Post Redirects plugins. Given that Quick Page/Post Redirects has been uninstalled from our site, could you clarify if there is a risk of such conflicts? How can we ensure a seamless transition to using only the Redirection plugin?
We greatly appreciate your prompt response and assistance in addressing these concerns. Our primary goal is to ensure the smooth functioning of our website without any unexpected issues.Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to your guidance in resolving these queries.
