I have ads that slow down the site. Some are advertisements with videos. Full lazy loading ranges from +8/12 seconds for pages to pages and categories. For posts, I reach +19 seconds or more for a complete load.

How do I solve this ad problem?

Do you have any solutions planned?

    Hi @ildomandatore,

If you have ads on your site that are slowing it down, there are a few things you can try:

    1. Deactivate any plugins that minify JavaScript. Sometimes these plugins can interfere with the display of ads. Try deactivating them and see if it helps.
    2. Check the size and placement of the ads. If the area where you’re displaying ads is too small or if the ads contain large videos, it can slow down your site. Make sure the ad area is large enough and consider optimizing the size of the ads.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please provide more details about the ads and any specific problems you’re experiencing so that we can assist you further.

At this moment, the site you mentioned can’t be reached, showing a 524 timeout occured error, so I’m not able to see it and check the ads. This error typically indicates that your web server is unable to communicate with the Cloudflare CDN (Content Delivery Network) server, which can result in a timeout. To solve this, I’d recommend starting by checking your hosting server’s performance and adjusting Cloudflare settings. Temporarily disable plugins and themes to identify conflicts, and consider upgrading your hosting plan for more resources if needed. Optimize your content by compressing images, minifying scripts, and implementing caching. This is where Jetpack Boost can help, with its features that enables you to improve the site speed. So once the site is up and running, feel free to give Jetpack Boost a try and see how it goes.

If the issue persists and site still not able to load, don’t hesitate to reach out to Cloudflare support for specific guidance on resolving the error.

    I hope this helps.

After 1 month server it’s back. It was a plugin to give codes 5xx, but my hosting not helped me a lot to discover the fault. For 1 month I could not enter on wp-admin and manage plugins… I could only login sometimes but I crashed.

Actually I must have bck ads, but I’d tested in past: troubles are Google Adsense.

I’ve added auto insert and I not have done spaces for ads. I’ve a lot of block spacer. Troubles on ads was started adding manually the code with scripts. Ok, i use plugin Site Kit. Troubles are back.

On 3rd embed games, I’ve same troubles because these ads are from Adsense.

Hi there – it appears Google AdSense is creating a problem for your site. Are you using any plugin to implement Google AdSense on your site?

Also, I want to let you know we are soon depreciating the lazy load feature in Jetpack because today, modern browsers all support lazy loading, and WordPress itself comes with built-in lazy loading functionality for images and videos and you can check this info here. So, if you want, you can disable the Jetpack lazy load feature for now.
