How do you have the oldest post show first on the website

edit index.php (or the template that shows your front page) and change the first line of the loop:
for instance:
<?php global $query_string; query_posts($query_string . '&orderby=date&order=ASC'); if(have_posts()) : while(have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
