Displaying featured image on archive page

    Hi, I’m trying to add a featured image as the backtround to the archive blog title on the page but it won’t show up. I have set my pages to display the featured images as the page title background from the main theme settings. It does show up for all other pages I’ve created, but it won’t for the blog archive page. Is this page deliberately set up in wordpress not to display a featured image as title background, like the other pages can? It won’t even show a featured image within the page itself. I’ve tried finding the answer on the web but am not finding anything (I know how to set featured images within pages, that’s not the issue).

    Is this page deliberately set up in wordpress not to display a featured image as title background, like the other pages can?

    This is something controlled by your active theme, not WordPress.

    What theme are you using?

    And are you able to share your website address?

    Thanks George. I can see that it’s controlled by the theme – that’s where I turned on this functionality. The thing it I can see the featured image behind all the page titles but just not on the blog page. Which doesn’t make sense.

    Well, if you can’t share your site address or even mention what theme you’re using (as requested), then all I can say is to contact your theme’s developer for help.

    @gappiah wow okay. It’s Kadence theme. I didn’t see how it was necessarily relevant since I mentioned that it works with all the other pages, but not the blog archive pages – so I’m thinking it might be something to do with the default functionality of the blog archive page. That’s what I was trying to figure out.
