I translated my site. Default language is english and second language is Italian.
When a user select Italian all links are now with the /it/ slug. And if an user manually removes the slug the content is in english and also ‘trp_language’ metadata is changed to english. I can understand this and it’s ok…
But the problem is when a user come back to my site (let’s way https://mysite.com) the url has no slug so the displayed language is english (also if the user choosed Italian in the previous visit). Is that the way it works (I think it shouldn’t) or is a problem on my side?

  • Hello there,

This is the way TranslatePress is intended to work, when you access the website you are directed to the default language landing page.

We do have a premium feature which allows you to redirect users based on their language, but we are not allowed to go into further details here.

If you would like to know more about this feel free to ask a pre-sale question over at translatepress.com

    Best Regards,
