Help!(Theme…)

    Hey everyone,

    I’ve been trying make a good musician website. However, I FAIL. I’ve spent days and days, months, looking and trying to learn CSS, HTML, just to create a decent website. This is all that I’ve got:

    In Google Analytic, it states that people don’t stay on my website that long. A professional looked it over and said it was because of two things:

    1. Not enough content/not enough fresh and updated content.
    2. The look lacks. The theme, design, etc… is dull, un-interesting.

    I am working on the content, getting featured in more magazines, going to start a music blog, photos, videos, new music, and more. The area where I need help is in the theme.

    Please, I am asking anyone to just help me make my http://www.makingsunlight.com and make into a site basically like this: http://www.jakeowen.net/

    This would be such a benefit and help, I’d give credit where it is due. I’d offer to pay, but to be honest I just am not making any money, or else I would have hired someone.

    Hi,
    I made the same mistake, concentrated on learning to tweak my theme when I should have minded the site and its content. There are several free themes that looks and features what you want as in your example. One I tried is http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/albizia it is very easy to customize without code. The support from the constructor is amazing.
    But there are several other free themes here that you could use, look for the dark ones
