I just saw in the changes:

- Fix: Issues with Form Submission
This was about the time when it stopped working. Coincidence?

Hi @peterputz
I hope you’re well today!
Yes, that’s a coincidence actually. We are aware of the bug on our end already and it’s been found before recent update was released. Our Forminator Team is look into it to provide the fix.
For now, there are two workarounds possible that are reported to be working:
1. if you are not uploading multiple files, try this
– edit the upload field on the form and switch it from “single” to “multiple” upload
– then in field settings in “limits” set limit of upload to just 1
For submitting users, it will be pretty much the same – still a single file to be submitted – but it should work fine with Zapier webhook.
2. alternatively – but that is more complex and may require a few attempts – is to try to re-configure webhook at Zapier:
– when creating the zap, on the Trigger section make several submissions with uploads before choosing a request on the dropdown and then press continue
– if it didn’t work on your first try, continue to submit entries until you see the full url of the upload on the submission data – still at the “Test Trigger” stage
– it’s important to do this at “Test Trigger” because what Zapier sees then, it determines fields that can be used in further configuration; it most cases it will eventually “catch up” and once that’s set again it should keep it and work fine.
Aside from that, our developers are looking into that issue, working on a fix to be include in one of upcoming releases but I don’t have ETA yet as no permanent solution has been determined yet – it’s still investigated.
Kind regards,
Adam
Hello @peterputz ,
We haven’t heard from you for some time now, so it looks like you don’t require our further assistance.
Feel free to re-open this topic if needed.
Kind regards
Kasia
Thank you Kasia for your message. Unfortunately, the problem still exists. We have tried everything but the file upload is still not available for Zapier. Everything else works fine. Any other idea?
Hi @peterputz,
As mentioned in our initial response the issue noticed is a bug which our team is already working on. Have you tried the workaround mentioned in our initial response?
Since I don’t see you mention what method you tried, could you please confirm whether you tried the steps mentioned here:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/file-submission-zapier-broken/#post-16900633
That’s to use the “Multiple” type Upload instead of “Single” for the Upload field.
If you still have issues even after that then possible to share the form export, so that we could have a better idea?
Please check the following doc on how to export a form:
https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export
If you are concerned about any sensitive information in the form, then you can duplicate your form, remove any sensitive information, and then export it.
You can share the export file via Google Drive, Dropbox or any cloud service in the next reply.
Looking forward to your response.
Kind Regards,
Nithin
Thank you, I tried it again, and with a refresh and the multiple fields, it now works again!
