Missing menu position

    main menu listing of Primary Menu is missing, without it, the menu does not display, all that’s available is:

    Auto add pages

    Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu

    Display location

    Left Menu

    Right Menu

    Responsive Menu

    this is a new install on a fresh wp with no plugins.
