    Hi, @litoves.

    Glad you reached out.

What is likely happening here is that you need a valid SSL certificate, and GiveWP and PayPal is unable to find it. Can you make sure you are connecting your site and connecting to PayPal using a SSL connection?

The fix is to route all traffic on your site to HTTPS and to change all instances of the HTTP version of the URL in the database to the HTTPS version. Another “gotcha” that sometimes results in frustration is that the www and non-www versions need to be standardized, and the files should be delivered over the same version (https://www.example.com or https://example.com) that all traffic is forced over.

We have a detailed tutorial that covers these items really well. The article will walk you through the following things that are relevant to this issue:

    1. the “update your Site URL” section
    2. the “Force HTTPS Throughout your Site” section
    3. the “Resolve insecure elements your Pages” section.

    That article is here: https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/how-to-use-ssl-and-https-for-your-wordpress-website/.

However, if it doesn’t fix the issue after you follow the instructions above, I’ll need some help from you with steps to replicate the issue? When does it happen? Do you execute any specific action that triggers this error?

Your success with online donations is our number one priority. Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!

    Hi, @litoves.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard back, and I know troubleshooting needs a little extra time. I’m marking this as resolved for now, but if you still have questions, you can send them along right here, and I’ll be happy to hop back in.

    Have a great day!

Thank you but I haven’t fixed it.

In the site health section there isn’t the issue “the website does not use HTTPS” and in the general section the site url is https.

WordPress Force HTTPS. isn’t tested with my version of wp

On http://www.whynopadlock.com the test is passed

“When does it happen? Do you execute any specific action that triggers this error?”

Always, when I load the home page I get the error.
