Merging with my layout

I was just wondering how to merge my blog with my layout so its just the blog and not the calendars and stuff an example is here.. http://kao-ani.com they have just the blog however I am new to wordpress so sorry if i’m confusing you ^^; Also how do I edit the colors of my blog?
