‘Use a new card’ checked by default

I use Woocommerce subscriptions so there is an option to save a card in your account. This topic is not a big deal, but it’s one more click.
Why, when I have a saved credit card on my account, is ‘Use a new card’ checked by default and not the actual saved credit card?

This relies on the customer’s default payment method assigned on the “My Account” page.
If no payment method is selected, the “Add New Card” option will be chosen. This is not exclusive to the Square extension. :)
