I thought of that, but I don’t know how to replace the current menu with the custom.
Set up the custom menu, save it and then select it using the dropdown under the appropriate location.
The top nav bar is hard coded.
There’s no hard-coded nav bars in TwentyTen.
While I appreciate your comments I still don’t know how to do that. Could you please point to something that can help me?
Thank you for your help, but I don’t see anything in that about nav menus. I can create a custom menu and place it any of the widget areas, and I already knew how to do that. I see nothing about the nav menu in that. I still believe that it has to be replaced somewhere in the code, I just don’t know where.
If you are using the TwentyTen theme, you will have Theme Locations box in Admin/Appearance/Menus. Use the dropdown to assign your custom menu to the Primary location. If you don’t see a Theme Locations box, then you’re not using TwentyTen and your theme doesn’t fully support custom menus. Or your version of the the TwentyTen theme has been customised and this functionality has been removed.
thank you for that, I read all of that page and never got that. You made it clear and it worked. Thanks.
The Exclude Pages plug-in works well for me in TwentyTen.
