    Hi Advanced Ads.
Im trying out your great plug-in to see if I can use it on a client website. I need to be able to specify both desktop and mobile image ads and have tried setting display conditioning/device but it doesn’t seem to work. Is this function only for Adsense ads? If so, How will I be able to achieve different ads for different devices with your product?

  • Hi steenk,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The display and visitor conditions are not limited to AdSense ads. Instead, they are available for any ad content organzied in ad units of Advanced Ads.

How will I be able to achieve different ads for different devices with your product?

To show different ad units to mobile and desktop users in the same ad spot, I recommend creating the following setup:

    1. Create dedicated ad units for mobile and desktop.
    2. Add the “Device” visitor condition to both and choose the related option: “mobile” for the mobile ad unit and “desktop” (+ “Tablet”) for the desktop ad unit.
    3. Add both ad units to an ad group.
    4. Assign this ad group to a placement to embed the ads.

Here, you can find a similar ad template that you can import into your site.

On cached websites, this setting might not work properly if you don’t use the Cache Busting feature in Advanced Ads Pro.

    Best regards,

    Joachim
