Show Random Comment

    Hi, do you know how to show a random comment on the home page? I don’t want to use a plugin only for that and I tried to modify the code to get a random post but it didn’t work.

    If someone can help, that would be great! 🙂

    There should be plenty of Plugins that do something similar to this. So just find one that does what you need and add the code directly to your home page theme template.

    Hi dgwyer, I know there are plenty of plugins that do it but I don’t want to use a plugin, I prefer a hack, that’s why I asked how I can do that without using a plugin 😉

    And that is why I said find a Plugin that does what you want then get the code out that, at the bare minimum does what you want. Add it to your template file, then get rid of the Plugin.

    I understand dgwyer but I’m not a coder and you clearly overestimate my knowledge, but I will try to do that if nobody can help me with it 😉

    OK, well if you are not a coder then why not consider a Plugin? That’s what they are there for, to extend the functionality of WordPress without you necessarily having to know how it works internally. 🙂
