Is it possible to import events from a different events plugin?

    I am currently using Events Manager but would like to switch to The Events Calendar, is there any easy way to import my existing events to the plugin or is that not possible? Thanks!

    You can can import data in CSV format into The Events Calendar.

    Thank you for your reply! I saw the csv KnowledgeBase article yesterday, but in this case, the events already exist in WordPress, they just exist in a different plugin, and events manager doesn’t have a way to export them as a csv to reimport them into the site. Is there a way to recognize events from a different plugin that already exist in WordPress?

    Hey @hobeika

    Unfortunately, every event plugin uses slightly different code to handle events. To your point, an automated tool would be awesome.

    But for now, in order to keep things cleaner, the extra step of exporting to CSV or .ics is necessary to keep things nice, clean and compatible.

    CSV offers more control and is free while .ics is processed via our premium Event Aggregator add-on.

    Thanks! So my only option is to redo all the events since CSV export isn’t available for the other plugin?

    Hi @hobeika

    You could try exporting your data using WP All export or any related plugin. After that, you can modify your CSV file based on the format described on our knowledgebase article.

    I haven’t tried this option, but it’s worth a shot.
