    Hi

I have been using this plugin for a while and I love it. But right now, I need a specific solution. I am using Google / Gmail to send emails. When someone fill up the contact us form on the website and send an email the From email becomes our website email, and the reply to email is the original sender’s email. My question is how can I Make the From email to the original sender’s email?

Now you might be curious that why I need it! Well, I need it because we are connecting a Customer Support/ticketing system with our email. So for example when someone sends us an email using our website contact us page, the From email is: contact@website.com and the reply to email is: customer@gmail.com. When the ticket system creates a ticket It sees that the email came from contact@website.com and replyes to contact@website.com also, which is wrong!

So is there any way i can receive email where the from and reply to both will be the original sender email address?

    Some this like this :

    Hi @ariyes,

Thanks for reaching out! I apologize, but you should always send your site email notifications using the WP Mail SMTP configured “From email” address.

Basically, you cannot change the “from email address”, because you don’t have the authenticity to send emails from other email accounts.

The purpose of the WP Mail SMTP plugin is to send emails from an authenticated email account to improve your email deliverability.

However, you should be able to set a “Reply-to” email address on your contact forms or the script that you’re using to send those email notifications.

For example, if you’re using a form plugin like WPForms, they have this feature to set a “reply-to” email. Or you need to check your contact form settings to set your “reply to” email address.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!
