WPJM and Onesignal Push Notifications

    Hi there, we are using WPJM and we want to send PUSH NOTIFICATIONS, with ONESIGNAL plugin.

    We have everything well configured at Onesignal, our posts and pages are well being sended thru push notifications to our clients, but we can´t make it to work with WPJM.

    We have enabled at Onesignal plugin this 2 options

    • Automatically send a push notification when I publish a post from 3rd party plugins

    And this other:

    • Additional Custom Post Types for Automatic Notifications Created From Plugins (Enter a comma-separated list of custom post type names. Anytime a post is published with one of the listed post types, a notification will be sent to all your users. The setting Automatically send a push notification when I publish a post from 3rd party plugins must be enabled for this feature to work), AND we placed there:

    job_listing

    But, there is no way that the WPJM plugin sends the push notifications when a company publishes job offers at frontsite.

    Does anyone faced this problem and knows a possible solution for this to work well?

    Thanks for your message, the integration between WP Job Manager and OneSignal seems interesting.

    Have you asked the OneSignal support about that? Perhaps they have some insights to share to help us sort that out.

    Hi @erania-pinnera thanks for your interest. Indeed I tryed to speak with them (Onesignal), but…. First, a person from web support answered me, I explained the problem we where facing and never answered back with any solution or help. Then, 2 days after, OTHER Onesignal support agent wrote me once more, like if I didn´t explain anything to this other fist support agent and so, I explained back to this second person same thing as to first agent, and same thing, didn´t answer me anymore, dissapeared both. So this is why I’m here trying to find someone that has Wordpres Job Manager with Onesignal and how they have it configured. Hopefully I find someone…

    Hi there, @ibiza69,

    Our developers looked at your request, and it looks like this is outside the scope of our support. You have set up the plugin well, apparently, so it should send a push notification when a job_listing is published, but it doesn’t.

    Even if this happens with something related to WP Job Manager, chances are that the plugin may fail to send notifications also if you set that up with other plugins’ CPTs; to further investigate this, our developers should continue reading this plugin code, meaning that’s Onesignal’s territory of support.

    I am so sorry to hear that you hadn’t a great experience with their support, and I asked our developers if they know a similar product to suggest, as a way to help you sort this issue.

    Perhaps you may want to give Onesignal support team another go 🤞
