If I understand correctly, you would like the cart session to last for a year, is this correct?
By default, customer and cart sessions are saved in the database for 48 hours. When it expires, the items added to the cart are forgotten, meaning the next time visitors come by, they’ll find their cart empty.

Alternatively, you can use a plugin to define what that period should be instead, such as the Clear Cart and Sessions for WooCommerce extension.
