Hey @nigelrs,
Thank you for reaching out! From a technical standpoint, I don’t believe that you’d need to disable/downgrade all other reCAPTCHA systems.
If you create a new pair of keys for V2 and use those with SliceWP’s reCAPTCHA, everything should work. You’d have V2 on affiliate related forms, while having V3 for all other forms.
Even so, we do have plans to integrate V3 in the near future. I can’t say exactly when this will happen, but there are high chances that reCAPTCHA V3 will be available either in the next plugin update, or the one after that.
Thank you and best wishes,
Mihai
Thank you, I have done this and it works. The only time it clashes is with Wordfence Security. That has the option to have Google Captcha for general website sign ups and only has v3. Whenever that is turned on, and your plugin is turned on, it won’t allow a new registrant to sign up but triggers a system email for a user to verify themselves; but this, alas fails. So Wordfence has to have Captcha disabled to allow sign ups.
Hey @nigelrs,
Thank you for letting me know these details! Can you please share a step-by-step guide on what I’d need to set up to be able to replicate this issue?
Technically speaking, we only enqueue the reCAPTCHA script on our own forms, so the Wordfence one with ours should not interact at all.
I’m not sure how I should go about replicating this issue, so if you can share any feedback, I can try to look into it and see what is conflicting.
Thank you and best wishes,
Mihai
