I’ll do my best to explain it in a simple way. 😊
For example, you have a Students table. This table can be viewed by teachers and the students themselves.
Students can only view this table, but teachers should be able to edit it so they can update grades for example.
To create a page for teachers in which they can edit this table, you would have to create a template wherein you can choose which columns is viewable and editable.
You also need to create a template for the student’s view, in which you only want to show a few columns and no columns are editable.
You can also rename columns, define default values per column, or hide columns depending on what template is used.
