Do I need it?

    Hi. I am using the basic, free WordPress at the moment.
    However, I would like to be able to change its appearance radically and regularly, and to have multiple large .wav files plus videos and things there.
    I’ll also have tons of text there, but mostly huge amounts of audio files.
    Should I get a host and are there any in particular I should look to?
    I like the sound of Dreamhost, but is it the one for me?
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Yes, it sounds like you’ll need a hosting provider if you want to do all that. I used Dreamhost a while back. The only problem I had with them was uptime, but that was years ago. There are a few more hosting providers recommended here:
