Ok so i’m new to wordpress and am using it because people have said that its really easy to use. I’m wanting to create a web page rather than a blog and have a couple of main pages, with the option of subpages (ie my main page will be a home page, but I want to have an option to have a second ‘main’ page to say about us.

Looking into how to do this, I’ve been told to go into the reading settings and change it from a blog type post to a static page, but I don’t have the option to do this – the only thing I have is the number of posts I want to show on a blog page.

Can someone please help me by explaining in simple terms how I create a second page on my menu bar (Home, About Us, Photos, Help) and how I then create sub pages under each of these categories?

Any help will be much appreciated!
    Thanks
