    Hi,

When a customer registers a new account on my website via my account,, the following warning sign appears.

‘REGISTRATION BLOCKED: The registration request was blocked because it was flagged as spam. Please try again or contact the site owner for help.’

On Wordfence I’ve tried lowering the reCAPTCHA human/bot threshold score to 03 with no success.

When customers put an order through, an account can be created on the checkout page with no issues. But just not via the ‘my account page’ page.

When disabling the ‘Enable reCAPTCHA on the login and user registration pages’ in login settings, registration is fine..

How do I keep this extra security feature without new customers being flagged as spam?

    Thanks

    Luke

Hi @lukeyr1minstrels1, thanks for reaching out to us.

I agree that I’ve seen this error show when users are receiving a low CAPTCHA score. There was an update at plugin version 7.5.11 that fixed the potential for reCAPTCHA scores to not be recorded, but I’m working on the assumption that you have the latest version of Wordfence and other plugins? Our Login Security features were also modified towards the end of 2022 to work with the “my-account” page, whereas this page was not supported in earlier versions so that’s also why I ask.

In terms of the score itself, we aren’t privy to why Google rate some humans as bots (or vice versa) but, if you’re not using custom forms, it’s worth trying to log in with Wordfence as the only enabled plugin with a default theme such as Twenty Twenty-Three. If there’s a plugin conflict or a problem with custom code in your theme that’s preventing code from running properly at the time of submission, this should make it clear. Of course, seeing the reCAPTCHA logo on the page hints that the scripts on initial page load are likely to be fine.

As other WooCommerce pages are working, I’m also assuming that the Login Security > Settings checkboxes for WooCommerce integration are already set.

Traditionally, a “reCAPTCHA human/bot threshold score” setting in Wordfence > Login Security > Settings of at least 0.7 should allow most humans using your site. As you’ve tried lower numbers without success, double-check the browser console for red errors that might hint at issues with the reCAPTCHA on this page.

Let me know how you get on!
    Peter.
